Hi, I have come across Christian bookshops in Bangkok. But, apologies, will not be able to pinpoint them as I was travelling around. the place. You should be able to find one at Siam Paragon mall, MBK mall.



Bangkok will be nice and educational for your kids. It is pf a different tradition and culture of its own, so should be of interest to your children. There are many possible activities to do there with them, so I will try to pen some of them for you.



One is the unique river cruise along the Chao Phraya River. You will see the city from a different perspective. Plus there will be a couple of major temples visit and some history included during the cruise. This is typically a half day tour. If you want more, you can get to the long-tail boat located at Sapan Thaksin Bridge for a longer cruise into other parts of the river.



If this mode of travel interest you, you can check with the travel desk at your hotel (there will be one at every hotel) and ask them to help arange canal tours where you get to see the lifestyle of the local Thais along the canals, doing farming, fishing, fruit orchard tending and local crafts. There are quite a few theme parks around he city to bring your kids to. One will be Siam Paragon mall, with its indoor marine aquarium, Siam Ocean World, the largest in this region. Other theme parks will be Safari World, where you take a drive through the park safari-style with animals roaming free around.



Another will be Rose Garden Aprime. This is a resort as well as a theatre. You get to watch elephant show as well as Thai Cultural show. You can even arrange to have lunch there while waiting for the show. Check with the travel desk on this. This can be a full day or half day affair depending on your time.



There is a water them park called Siam Water Park. Giant slides, wave pool, etc. Something for the kids to play in. There are a few snake shows around, ask for the Snake Farm. This one is run by the state to fund the snake research. Otherwise see what the travel desk can arrange for you.



Bangkok will not be complete without a trip to the Grand Palace, the equivalent of the White House. The Thai King used to stay there, but opted to stay at the Chitralada Palace but still attends to ceremony there. Nearby is the Emerald Buddha, the single largest emerald in the world. Ticket to this place also allow entry to Vimanek Mansion, the residence of King Rama V, present King's ancestor. It is kept as a museum with his memoirs and memorabilias.



There are many temples to visit in Bangkok. The more popular ones will be Wat Arun which you will visit during the river cruise. The other is Way Pho which has the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand. And the most number of Buddha images too.

I don't recall seeing any specifically christian bookshops but Asia Books carries a lot of English language titles and has numerous branches around Bangkok.

you should be able to find book stores in the large malls in bangkok, sorry i cant remember the names of the malls.
Christian bookstores and kids in Bangkok? I'm not sure why you've chosen this city as a holiday destination, but it is definitely not the best choice for Christian activities nor is it kid-friendly.



It's terribly hot all year round, with some of the worst air pollution in the world. Traffic jams last 15 hours a day. And it has a reputation of being a sex tourist destination. I'm thinking if you want a fun holiday with the family, you really need to think of going elsewhere -- if it must be Thailand, at least go to Chiang Mai where the kids can ride elephants or take a raft down a slow-moving river!
