Working at a CHRISTIAN Store?

im 21 and am starting my job at "family Christian store" on tuesday... well its an interview but i start later this week.



its a part-bookstore, part-jewelry (ironic right?), and part record store.



anyways the manager said that i will be hired to work in "receiving" and do "stock".



what does that mean i will be doing?Working at a CHRISTIAN Store?
It sounds like you'll be working in the back where the supplies are stored. Receiving will probably mean that you interact with those making deliveries to the store, and stocking means that you'll help take the delivered merchandise and place it in the store.



Everyone has to learn the duties of a new job--even an employee with years of experience. Don't be afraid to ask your new supervisor for more details about your role. And if you're not offered formal training, you can explain that you want to do an exceptional job and need your supervisor to explain the stores procedures. Carry a little notebook and pencil with you to jot down things you don't want to forget. Doing things well, having a great attitude, and going the extra mile may lead to a promotion!
