Philippians 1:9-10

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ,

The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.
24A man that has friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
Look at John 15:15 from an NIV or NLT version Bible.

From a King James, it reads as follows:

The NIV and NLT will take out the objectionable words and restate the verse is easier language.

And Jesus said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.
