What's with some businesses advertising their religion?

I can understand if its, for example, a specifically Christian Bookstore. But I was looking through the phone book and passed the pest control page, and there were two businesses advertising with crosses and/or Jesus fish, saying they were "Christian owned" and with names like HIS Pest Control (complete with crown of thorns, all right!!).

What does being Christian have to do with killing cockroaches? Just wondering. What's with some businesses advertising their religion?
I don't get that either
I think it's great, those businesses usually offer inferior services and or products and it makes it easier for me to avoid them.

When I was a teenager I worked at a Christian owned Donut shop and it was full of cockroaches... I haven't eaten a donut for 19 years. What's with some businesses advertising their religion?
Aw come on, fair do... Ever tried to kill a bl00dy cockroach!? You *need* a miracle on your side to hit the little f@ckers!
As an atheist, I find it objectionable, laughable.

As a Christian (past) I would have found it wrong, so wrong. What's with some businesses advertising their religion?
Over in my neck of the woods there's even an entire "Christian Yellow Pages" directory.
Why not? Your business is as much about who you are as your speech, clothing, vehicle, and furniture.
I am really glad that some Christians do this because, whenever possible, I employ Christians when I need some work done in my home. Some of these people I know personally through my church or through a link to another church but if I see a business card or an advertisement showing a fish or a cross I follow that one up before any other.

I personally know a Christian gardener, plasterer, plumber, painter and decorator, roofer and a carpenter. All but one have worked for me. There are several reasons why I choose these people but the most important to me is the difference in conversation and the fact that no bad language (which I hate) enters my home.
