Nope, because this is private property and you have no right to distribute anything without the express permission of the owner. And if you do, you could be arrested for trespass. Yes, you do have free speech rights but not on private property...so don't do it. Good luck and God bless. Is it legal to distribute Christian tracts in wicca books in bookstores?
It could be seen as soliciting and the bookstore could have you prosecuted for trespassing.
Really though, if you are going to try to fight opposing religions you aren't going to be successful by planting messages in books in a bookstore. Keep your religion to yourself, maybe someone else will be slipping Wiccan or LeVayan Satanist messages into your religious books in response to your actions.
Depends on the state. In some states as long as you're not asked to leave you're not committing a crime. Even in places where this would technically be trespass, I can't imagine that most DAs would bother to prosecute.
But is it a silly, jerky thing to do? Absolutely. Someone looking for books on Wicca isn't interested in the Christian myths. Is it legal to distribute Christian tracts in wicca books in bookstores?
I'm sure the bookstore would not want you doing that, and you would be asked to leave.
You would be, in essence, soliciting in the business without permission.
While it is protected under the First Amendment right to free speech, the bookstore manager/owner would still have the right to ask you to leave. Is it legal to distribute Christian tracts in wicca books in bookstores?
No, but my friend who's been researching wicca told me that it's still legal for wiccan's to distribute wicca tracts in christian bookstores, WTF LIBERALS???
