Why did the clerk at the Christian bookstore look at me funny when I asked for Gospel 8-track tapes ?

I went to a local Christian bookstore and askef for Gospel tapes and she looked at me funny and told me they no longer carry them. She then showed me some silver colored records about fives inches in diameter and told me that is what they sell now.Why did the clerk at the Christian bookstore look at me funny when I asked for Gospel 8-track tapes ?
Maybe because 8 track tapes went out about 25 years ago? (LOL)

She probably had no idea what an 8-track was....I didn't even know until recently when I looked through my fathers garage.

Who uses 8-track tapes these days? They went out in the late 60's.
Because they're outdated and worthless...just like religion.
Because 8-track tapes are obsolete and that was an unusual question for her.
