fake
That is just your dad's own opinion. Some share it but many do not.

Read a bible that you can understand first of all. If you want to go up (or down) the ladder to the KJV at some future date that should be your choice. If you start with one in modern English and learn from that you can then start looking at others. It is often helpful to have a few and then, if a verse causes some confusion you can cross reference and possibly see more clearly what it is saying to you.

Don't worry about all the other nationalities you mention. The bible has been translated into almost all languages of the world. Very few people do not have access to the bible these days. The ones to worry about and pray for are those in countries where it is illegal to own one.Why is the bible writen in english??
The King James Bible is a translation commissioned by King James I of England aka King James VI of Scotland in 1611. In modern editions there is a glossary at the back for all those words that are no longer used in modern English.

Since then the Bible has been translated into most languages, including Spanish, Arabic and Russian.
there are many versions of the Bible. I think the best one is textus receptus, which is actually the original Greek language of the New Testament. The Old Testament was written in hebrew. in 1600, king james hired scholars or something to translate all the hebrew and greek to english. hence the KJV. now there are many language translations to the KJV. it is not JUST in English. you can find it in russian, spanish, hawaiian arabic, and most languages out there. the catholic and good news bible are different then the kjv. catholics do not believe all of the kjv. they believe that works will get them into heaven, and that is not what the Bible says. look up Ephesians 2:8-9.

all in all, there are many many many translationsWhy is the bible writen in english??
The original bibles have been written in Greek. So to get the true essence of the word of god we should read the bible in Greek. Im taklking of the new testament of coarse. Then King James commissioned his scholars to translate it into English. Back in the times when Jesus was born the whole known world spoke Greek. Thanks to Alexander the Great. Even their cousins the Romans spoke Greek. But later when the world (america) was founded slowly the language known around the world became English and Spanish, Slowly we are seeing less english and more Spanish. But the bibles original writtings are still available in Greek and Aramaic in Greece and Palestine(or Israel).
Your question is puerile. Ask the |Rosetta stone.

It reminds me of a Californian State Senator campaigning against Spanish being made an official language.

He spouted: "If English was good enough for Jesus Christ and good enough for the bible, it's good enough for me."

Vice -president Dan Quayle on a trip to Latin America said he wished he'd learnt Latin at school.
If you want to understand the bible check out this bible study.

It is by far the best way to study if you have difficulties understanding the King James Bible.

Ask God to open up your mind to the His word.

the Bible is written in English so that English speaking people can understand the language.. but you should know that it IS translated in 100's of languages... check www.biblegateway.com
1. It's written in Early Modern English which was used during the 1600s. Old english was used in the Early Middle Ages and you would not be able to understand it.

2. Multiple translations.
the bible has been translated into many languages. the originals are not english. there are now bibles that are easier to read, like "the message" by eugene h. peterson
use a concordence....its explains things, or a dictionary....the bible is not hard to understand.....and by the way, have you ever prayed and ask God to open your mind and your heart to His word?.....
It wasn't originally written in english, it was transcribed in other languages the same way they do it now with other books.
The Bible was originally written in Hebrew

But it has been translated into different languages and versions for people to have a better understanding of the Bible.
Thankfully the Bible has been translated into many different languages, so Christians around the world can read it.
why is the torah written in hebrew?

why is the quran written in arabic?
its not just written in english i think its in a number of them but i wouldn't really no because i think its a load of nonsense
The Bible has been translated into many different languages.
Translations you moron.
Because it was translated. By King James the First. I think during the 1600s.
They translate the Bible into every language
They probably have it translated into their same luangage the same way they did for us.
You mean American? That's G-D'S language, remember?
the Bible is translated into many languages
Just to make you ask questions.
You're not serious are you?

If Jesus was Jewish, why does he have a Mexican name.
Uh, because we don't understand other languages?
Dumb!
How can there be a "best bible"?
Well my love, I have to comend you on your brilliance
