Some people hate God so much that they are negative about anything that has 'God' word in it, why?

My friend recently told me that whenever she speak of God or Jesus people are becoming negative toward her. When she purchased a card with little Jesus on it for her classmate the girl was offended. A clerk in a bookstore made face on her because she was asking for book on natural medicine and wind-up getting a book (on natural medicine) called: God's Medicine Is Best by Linda Wise. Just because there is a religious input in all this many people are upset. Why? America was built on Christian values and God was and will be a big part of American lives. Why this changes??Some people hate God so much that they are negative about anything that has 'God' word in it, why?

America was founded on secular values because the founding fathers had seen what happens in a religious society. They wished to avoid all the hatred and persecution that comes with religion and this is why they separated it from the state.



I have no idea who has told you otherwise but I imagine it was religious people. Be very careful when getting information from them as they are often incapable of being honest.Some people hate God so much that they are negative about anything that has 'God' word in it, why?
Get used to it because peoples belief in deities are going extinct due to the fact that religion has caused an enormous amount of trouble on this planet and people are beginning to see through all of the superstitions and myths associated with religion. the number of atheists are growing exponentially and it's just a matter of time until it's completely gone in the western world.
Because people are starting to realize how goofy it is... and you people don't.



You should try walking in the shoes of an atheist for a while. Just try to imagine you DON'T believe in any god (if you are even capable of that) and look around for a bit and tell me you don't notice how pervasive the notion of God has become.Some people hate God so much that they are negative about anything that has 'God' word in it, why?
Because satan is among us telling us to eat from the tree of knowledge so we can be like gods and with the new age stuff, well, people like the new age stuff better because it is satisfactory to the flesh. They don't want to believe in a GOD that wants to save them from eternal damnation!
Ah yet more blasphemy by hiding behind god and refusing to see it is his BAD followers attitudes and behaviour that are the cause of all the reaction against the christian church and not god!!!



Thank you for proving yet again that Christianities鈥?problems are not about atheists, belief, God or Jesus but about the intolerance, hatred and persecution from those terribly BAD Christian attitudes and conduct!!



If only BAD Christians would rediscover the loving god and start acting like it the problem will cease!!!!



Of course until then christianity will increasingly get called the "Nasty Religion" and increase the revulsion towards all christians from the behaviour of the fewer BAD ones!!!!!
I totally agree with you. I don't understand either and think it's very sad and very scary. These people have no clue what they're missing and where they're going to end up in the end. And the anger, I think it's partly out of worry. That maybe, just maybe what the Bible says is true.
America was not built on Christian values pal. Try to read up on history.

Nobody really has a problem with those who believe in God. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. The problem comes when they try to force their beliefs on others and when they try to legislate their beliefs such as saying "our religion says abortion is wrong therefore we want a law passed that follows that belief". When you friend bought a card with Jesus on it for her friend she was offended in the same way your friend would be offended if that other girl had bought her a card that says "Jesus did not exsist". It is OK if she believes in God, but if she wants to give a card to someone she should not use that as an opportunity to preach, but instead give a card that has meaning to the reciever....otherwise it is purely selfish on her part. As for the book "God's Medicine is the Best". The clerk may have been very aware of the two highly publicized cases lately where families let their children die because they refused to get medical help thinking God would simply cure them.
I don't hate god. How can you hate something that does not exist?



I certainly despise, and often fear, many of the crazy people who belive in a god.
Because, surprisingly, America is getting smarter.
