I was t a local Barnes and Noble and was greatly offended by how prominently they display the christian section. They seem really biased. I went and asked where the athiest section was because I celebrate the solstice. He said calm down sir. I told him I wasnt calming down and that their offensive nature will get out and they will be shut down. He yelled at me to calm down. I calmly asked where the arrowsmith section was and he told me to leave. I told him so now Arrowsmith fans arent even allowed in.What about You too fans? Two guys came up and dragged me outside. I went in my car and got some posterboard I had and a stick and said down with barnes and Nobles. All I did was tell people that were walking in that this store has only christian beliefs and they are run by rich millionares and just want your money. Eventually the cops came and made me leave. Its my right to speak. Can I sue the store and the city for their misdeeds. I thought there was a separation of church and state? Seems to me the poilice are pretty bias towards christians. Can I sue the bookstore for this?
Trolls should be beaten and driven from all public places.
We all know you're far to lazy to have ever done this.
Nope. It's a long standing American tradition that you can't sue because of stories that you make up.Can I sue the bookstore for this?
The First Amendment guarantees them the right to display that in their store. If you don't like it, you are free to not shop there. As for suing them and the city.....for WHAT??? You created a disturbance, got angry, they asked you to LEAVE, and when you refused they called the cops. Sue? You're lucky charges weren't filed against you and you're not in jail.
Are you talking about Aerosmith and U2? Two of the most popular bands in history? You are clearly illiterate and I'm surprised to even find you in a book store.
Normally I answer your question "you can sue anybody for anything", but in this case, you really don't deserve the first amendment rights that I think you think you were exercising.
Clearly B%26amp;N is a multi-million dollar conglomerate with literally hundreds of thousands of books available from all belief sectors. How predominantly they choose to display them is up to this private company to decide.
There is no separation of church and state here as the police were acting on the behalf of the citizenry and B%26amp;N is a private company, not a government entity.
You are causing a ruckus in a private business and I hope the police abused you as they threw you out.Can I sue the bookstore for this?
Did you ask to see the troll and idiots sections?
P.S. the band is Aerosmith. Arrowsmith is a novel by Sinclair Lewis.
What makes anyone think they can tell a business how to merchandise the store. Stores are merchandised for profit. Private property owners have the right to refuse service and properly remove any crazy. This makes you no better than the Churches shoving their beliefs down peoples throats. Separation of Church and state is for Gov.
Choose your battles and stop shoving your beliefs on people as well. Open your own store and sell what you want. That is freedom.
No Tea Party 2012...This is an example of their ethics
Trick question. Trolls can't enter into any building with real information contained inside; that's why they live under bridges...............
This isn't even a GOOD troll post
at my barnes and noble they have a religion section and then a section for just christianity which i find a little offensive cause its like saying this is real this is fake but what bothered me the most is that at my barnes and noble paganism, neopaganism, etc isn't even in the religion but in folklore and mythology that really pissed me off. as wrong as i find this they have a right to do as they please and sell what they want as a store. its a b*tch but that is their right and the chances of it going through in court is very slim they stay as far as away from religion as possible and find excuses to say it is not their place
