Fellow Christians, have you ever received income from faith, and if so, how do you feel about it?

I worked at a bookstore that sold Bibles once, when I was younger, but I am more used to paying than getting income from my faith.

How about you?Fellow Christians, have you ever received income from faith, and if so, how do you feel about it?
i run a Christan bookshop and hate taking money, especially for Bibles. i gave a lot away and so i could not pay my bills.

there has to be good stewardship for what we receive.

and the Word said that the oxen is able to eat from the grain, so in your heart is where you know what God wants.
income from faith or faith that Jesus will supply all our needs 'including money' if we take up the cross and follow him.Fellow Christians, have you ever received income from faith, and if so, how do you feel about it?
God does provide. I know a man who chooses to be homeless and God has always provided for him.
Depends on if it is God's will or not. I would say that if the person is being used by God for truth then no it is not a sin, but if they are trying to deceive or being used by the deceiver than yes it is sin. For example it is not wrong for a Pastor to receive a gift from the congregation for the bible says to muzzle not the ox that treadeth out the corn (meaning the ox is working so don't take away his food). Again Paul also states that if he has sown spiritual things which are more valuable and greater than physical things then it is not wrong that he receive a physical reward. On the other side, it is wrong to say place the name Christian in front of products and charge someone twice as much just because you can (which is what we seen in most franchised Christian book stores that are even open on Sunday to make some profit)Fellow Christians, have you ever received income from faith, and if so, how do you feel about it?
As a pastor, I am paid by my church, so I guess in your thinking that means getting my income from my faith. But what is wrong with that? It is scriptural and why God set up the Tithe in the first place: To pay for the temple workers and the upkeep of the Temple. Don't forget too that the temple workers are also expected to pay their tithe too!
Income is essential for the reimbursement of utility, food, housing, and support suppliers. The cost of living is determined by the powers at large and all tithe in the form of taxes and costs to the reigning body towards the economic prosperity of the nation and its inhabitants.

Faith, God consciousness and the ability to hold belief through understanding and enlightenment or pure faith in the word and tutelage of Christ is indeed itself a monumental wealth received by the pure in heart and noble in spirit, and souls of fidelity.

We toil to meet cost of existence, if we are blessed with a labour of love then the yoke is a light one gladly worn. If there is an absence of love or light then awakening in the morning seems a harsh punishment of existence in a world we feel not a part of nor coexist in synchronicity with.

The company of fellow work colleagues makes the daily toil one of communal camaraderie, when subjected or oppressive becomes but an arduous toil. Enlightenment makes daily worship and prayer a beautiful connection with God. Without real consciousness, faith or understanding of the Higher Spirit is but a rudimentary habitual recitation in lieu of grace or favour to lighten the load of the burdens of life.

Faith itself is a reward and blessing, god consciousness its ultimate reward, to be and think as God. Work is an essential part of living in the world, with love it is an occupational blessing, bereft a heavy unceasing turning of a monotonous grindstone without reward or recompense.

Blessed then are they who have faith in the Holy Father, honour his name and work with a song and prayer upon their lips happy to be part of the living world whether abiding in humble hovels and trailers, or grand mansions with inestimable wealth, love of our the Creator, his creation and honour of self is the essential ingredient.
There is no such thing as a non-catholic christian, and all my income comes from faith.
Absolutely. I know this sounds ridiculous to unbelievers, but God promises that if we are obedient in the tithe, He will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that will be so abundant we can't even hold it all. He says to TEST Him in this and see if He won't do it.

When I started living in this obedience, He has always supplied my needs and in unusual ways. I started doing this before I was truly aware of the above Malachi promise, just because I wanted to be obedient and faithful, and I give with a grateful heart. He does not need our money nor does He want us to do this out of compulsion.

Though we have a generous income, it does not meet our bills. (We support several people who are unable to work and have two in college). On paper, the amount of our paychecks is far less than our monthly expenses. Yet, somehow, month after month, year after year, we are able to pay our bills on time, have money for groceries, and when there is a special need such as a medical cost or car repair, the money is there. How? God knows. He finds ways. My husband might get an unexpected bonus. A stock dividend check arrives unexpectedly. Someone who overbilled us by mistake returns a check. Once, when my children were babies, we had no washing machine. I hauled the laundry to the laundromat twice weekly. Unknown to me, a church member happened to see me coming out of the laundromat, and surprised our family with a brand new washing machine, completely installed!

I even pray for the Tithe money to be supplied. God is so good to us, that He gives us that too.

90% + God = %26gt; 100% + me alone

I agree!

By the way, a lot of our income has nothing to do with money, but with abundant blessings on all levels of life!!!
I have never collected or worked for income in a christian business or church.
I live by faith, alone. The only way I eat daily is by Gods good grace. The only way I put gas in my car is by Gods good grace. Im fine with it because its the only way I make it. I truly mean its the only way I make it!

How can you make anything unclean what God has made clean? I try to apply this thinking to money, food, my car, all things. Because with giving thanks all things are clean if they fit within the bounds of scripture.

But more importantly.. How did Christ live? did he not go from town to town eating what he was given and staying where he was accepted?
If I had recieved 1 million dollars I would be VERY happy.

I have struggled most of my adult life trying to make ends meet and that would BE VERY GOOD right now being that my hubby is due to loose his job.

Latley my prayer has been this Lord I never want to struggle agaiin in the area of finances. Please bless us so we will NEVER LACK OR STRUGGLE AGAIN. So we can be a blessing to others as well.

I can say honestly we have more in order then alot of others through hard work we got there. We have discussed that.

However things still break, the bills still come, and people STILL loose jobs.

I do not wish to struggle anymore EVER!!

Been there done that allready

the shirt is old and worn out.

Time for a NEW chapter to be blessed EVERYWHERE!! Wether we are comming in and going out.

And in every area as well.
I do not know what you mean by 'paying' for your faith, but I do understand receiving income from my faith. You see, about 3 months ago, I needed to rebuild the front end, suspension and motor of my 4x4 (we need it to get to and from our home) and of course we did not have that kind of money. So, we went to God and asked Him for the money to do it. The next day a very well paying job was offered to us and we knew immediately that it was God's answer to our prayer. And Yes we have done all of the repairs that were needed and the week after they were done the job ended without notice.
