Christians, should we let them take the rainbow?

Since the rainbow is a symbol from God, and has been for a very long time, should christians let the gays just take it without a fight? I remember you used to be able to buy rainbow stickers and bible covers in the christian bookstores, but now they are all gone. God created that symbol for a reason, but we are letting them just take it. Why?Christians, should we let them take the rainbow?
The use of the rainbow by the gay community is just another example of what a corrupt / sick society and world we live in.

As long as Christians hold the truth of the matter in our hearts, I think that is enough... why stir up trouble and fight a battle we would surely lose?
Did you know that by saying rainbows only existed after the flood, you are making yourself look very stupid?

[edit:] "Since the rainbow is a symbol from God"

Yeah you did, it was implied.

And how would you go about stopping them from using the rainbow as their symbol?Christians, should we let them take the rainbow?
Since when do Christians own the rainbow?

Now stop being a bigot and go do something productive.
I learned that every time you see a rainbow, it means god is having gay sex. Was I told wrong? (((So-Crates)))Christians, should we let them take the rainbow?
Ha! This is comedy gold! What are you going to do; introduce a constitutional amendment banning gays from having rainbow stickers?
It's an act of nature and not owned by anyone. Leave it to a christian to try and trademark nature.
Who says we are letting them?
Hahahahahahahahahaahhahahahahaha
A rainbow is made when rain drops act as a prism by having sunlight shine through them.

Perfectly sound scientific explanation there.
rainbows....didnt exist before the flood??

How does a fairy that DOESNT EXIST give the earth ANYTHING if the said fairy DOESNT EXIST!?
We're "letting them take it"? As opposed to what, stopping them from "taking" it?

Man, you can't make stuff like this up. It's like watching a car crash.
Mother Nature made the rainbow; this Jehovah fellow is guilty of copyright infringement, and should be sued! "His" rainbow, indeed!!!
I call dibs on cirrostratus clouds! Seriously, who cares. The only reason gays have a monopoly on the rainbow is because they have made it so. Take it back and it will become your own. If you wear rainbows and someone says something, just say you like rainbows. People will learn to stop judging others by our supposed "symbols".
Why are christians always looking to fight with someone?

I fail to see how any one group can claim ownership of refracted light.
I tell you what: let the gays take the rainbow, you get the pot of gold, and we atheists will take the leprechaun.
Maybe God loves gays too. Ever thought of that?
I don't let them have it but who are you going to fight? Knowing the truth may set us free but not from people around us.
this how a rainbow is made

The light is first refracted as it enters the surface of the raindrop, reflected off the back of the drop, and again refracted as it leaves the drop. The overall effect is that the incoming light is reflected back over a wide range of angles, with the most intense light at an angle of 40掳鈥?2掳. The angle is independent of the size of the drop, but does depend on its refractive index. Seawater has a higher refractive index than rain water, so the radius of a 'rainbow' in sea spray is smaller than a true rainbow. This is visible to the naked eye by a misalignment of these bows.

The amount by which light is refracted depends upon its wavelength, and hence its colour. Blue light (shorter wavelength) is refracted at a greater angle than red light, but because the area of the back of the droplet has a focal point inside the droplet, the spectrum crosses itself, and therefore the red light appears higher in the sky, and forms the outer colour of the rainbow. Contrary to popular belief, the light at the back of the raindrop does not undergo total internal reflection and some light does emerge from the back. However, light coming out the back of the raindrop does not create a rainbow between the observer and the sun because spectra emitted from the back of the raindrop do not have a maximum of intensity, as the other visible rainbows do, and thus the colours blend together rather than forming a rainbow.

A rainbow does not actually exist at a particular location in the sky. Its apparent position depends on the observer's location and the position of the sun. All raindrops refract and reflect the sunlight in the same way, but only the light from some raindrops reaches the observer's eye. This light is what constitutes the rainbow for that observer. The position of a rainbow in the sky is always in the opposite direction of the Sun with respect to the observer, and the interior is always slightly brighter than the exterior. The bow is centred on the shadow of the observer's head, or more exactly at the antisolar point (which is below the horizon during the daytime), appearing at an angle of 40掳鈥?2掳 to the line between the observer's head and its shadow. As a result, if the Sun is higher than 42掳, then the rainbow is below the horizon and cannot be seen as there are not usually sufficient raindrops between the horizon (that is: eye height) and the ground, to contribute. Exceptions occur when the observer is high above the ground, for example in an aeroplane (see above), on top of a mountain, or above a waterfall.

im not that into this whole situation but yes, the rainbow did come after the flood as a symbol and a promise. since as i do believe it never rained before the flood and then afterwards it is specifically written that there was a rainbow. i dont know why the gays/lezbos have to use and and i dont know why they are using that as thier symbol...but i do know one day they willl be judged so im not to worried about it.

also God is against gays as it is written in the bible. and those of you who dont believe this, i heard of a guy who studied the bible to prove it wrong and found it to be true and it matches with everything and doesnt contradict itself. they also found the actual scripts to parts of the bible.

i dont want to judge everyone cuz im not like that. i believe what i believe and u do the same so i dont want to shove stuff down your throats like most "christians" do cuz God doesnt want us to do that.

one more thing...God is a spirit, not a person. Also, there is proof all around that demons exist and ive seen proof. believe it or not ouija boards are controlled by demons and are witchcraft,,,,so demons are reall...meaning satan is reall......meaning God, the ultimate being is real.

email me if u wanna discuss anything..please no drama and have an open mind.
Only we as christians can keep the rainbow for what it is..... it is beyond our control to tell the gays not to mar our rainbow......all we can do is teach our kids the true meaning of the rainbow.
We can't control what other people do. There's really no way for us to prevent another group from using a symbol.

What we CAN do is to remember what it means -- that its a sign of God's promise -- and we can stop OURSELVES from making an automatic judgment when we see someone with a rainbow sticker, or shirt, or necklace. We can stop attributing it to a certain group. Even if someone is using it to represent gay pride, we can still look at it and see a promise from the Lord.
The gays didn't "steal" the rainbow. The christian bookstores simply couldn't share. It was their choice to let the rainbow disappear from their shelves. I'm pretty sure the gays wouldn't have had any problem sharing such a beautiful symbol.
When did Christians buy up all the stock on rainbows? So typical.
guess what? gays can be Christians too. There is no possible way to "take" the rainbow. People can still put it on stuff and ur not necessarily gay. You're making gay people the villains here.

(im NOT gay or lesbian, just for the record - lol)
