How is working as a Stock Guy?

im 21 and am starting my job at "family Christian store" on tuesday... well its an interview but i start later this week.



its a part-bookstore, part-jewelry (ironic right?), and part record store.



anyways the manager said that i will be hired to work in "receiving" and do "stock".



what does that mean i will be doing?How is working as a Stock Guy?
Receiving means you will be dealing with the shipments of inventory coming into the store. Probably checking each delivery against the purchase order that was originally made for it. Stock is the inventory itself, so you will probably have to do dail weekly or monthly counts of what is actually in the store to compare against what is supposed to be there.
