I was in our local Christian bookstore and seen that Duct Tape Brands has produced their own Official Duct Tape Bible. I had to chuckle because I'm a duct tape lover, I've made purses, flowers, wallets, you name it I've probably made it. The girl that works there said "you could probably cover your own bible for less money and in the way you want and color you want" a little baffled I asked her if it would be right for me to do so, she said it wouldn't be any different than using a book cover. I think it's an awesome idea and I try to read my bible often and would love to add a little of my love to the book of the Lord. Can someone please help in determining if this is "right".Is it ok to cover a bible.....?
s'all good....
The reason you feel guilty enough to ask the question is because you probably realize that it has very little to do with the binding of God's Word. Pity the young lady in the book store didn't get you plea! Guessing she probably was a non-believer....
Ma'am, I'm sure God could care less if you bounded the book in Gold leaf as long as you "got the painted massage within!"Is it ok to cover a bible.....?
It is a book, you can cover it, you can write in it, you can drop it on a table or the floor, you can give it away or sell it or throw it away or do anything you would do with a book. It is not nor has it ever been an object of worship as it has become these days.
I have seen many Bibles "repaired" by duct tape so I would say that you certainly preempt any problems by applying your duct tape beforehand.
Is it ok to cover a bible.....?
